We’re thankful to Ironworkers Local 396 for featuring a story about this project in their recent publication. We’re also grateful to AZZ Precoat Metals for the opportunity to work on this project as well as our contractor partners who collaborated with us to bring it all to life.

AZZ Precoat Metals recently built a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Washington, MO to meet the growing demand for metal coil and processing services. We leveraged our in-house structural design expertise and local fabrication capabilities to address the specialized project requirements with precision and efficiency. The facility features advanced systems designed to support AZZ Precoat Metals’ innovative processes, including coil transfer conveyors requiring alignment to within 0.007” over the length of the coating line and two 66-foot-tall coil accumulator towers. These systems handle 50,000-lb coils at speeds of up to 2,000 feet per minute, requiring specialized alignment instrumentation and exacting attention to detail.
This project is a testament to our team’s ability to deliver complex industrial solutions on schedule and within budget. Through close collaboration with AZZ Precoat Metals and other contractor partners, we successfully overcame challenges, coordinated with local engineering teams, and delivered results that met stringent technical standards. We’re honored to contribute to the growth of such an innovative facility and look forward to future opportunities to bring our expertise to projects like this!
