Construction Warehouse Equipment Clerk

As a Warehouse Equipment Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately tracking incoming and outgoing tools, equipment and materials. You will use computer software and other technologies to setup tools and materials in the database and to accurately report all transactions to the project managers and shop manager. You will report all shortages and deficiencies to the Shop Manager. You will perform all duties while complying with all safety guidelines.

Other duties will include:

Posting tool and material charges to the project accounting system on a monthly basis

Providing communications to all project managers and shop manager when tools and equipment are transferred to job sites and back to our warehouses

Conducting periodic inventories of tools and equipment in our warehouses and on jobsites

Removing broken or obsolete equipment from the database
-
Partnering with accounting on new equipment and tool purchases
-
Periodic updates to equipment charges and rental rates
-
Managing the stock of materials kept in inventory for our shop

Ordering materials for and equipment for outside projects from third party providers

Taking order calls from the field and generating pick tickets for these items to be executed by the warehouse team.

Maintain vehicle inspection and maintenance records

Be responsible for the installation GPS and RFID tracking on tools as directed

Be responsible for maintaining all DOT compliance documentation
-
Collecting and logging vehicle inspections on warehouse equipment
-
Be responsible for maintenance records on all other mobile equipment

In addition to the primary shop duties, this position will maintain several safety qualification databases at the direction of the Safety Director

Qualifications
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and overall good computer skills
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Previous experience in Shop and/or working with parts a plus
-
Ability to learn new software and programs both on a computer or other technology such as a smartphone

Competent keyboard skills
